Follow the steps in your Brew Kits instructions and you are virtually assured of a great home brew.
Once you have mastered the steps then you can go and experiment, be sure you learn the steps first to ensure you understand the process. The easiest way to do this is with brew kits.
The fabulous thing about Brew Kits like the Coopers one here is that the kit comes with everything you need and so by working through the process outlined in the instructions you will learn the steps and discover for yourself how to brew beer.
So what are the steps..
Step 1.
Sterilize all the equipment that will come in contact with the beer. You need to sanitize everything, all the stirrers, spoons, the fermenter, all the tools you will be working with as well as the bottles and caps.
If things are not sterilized properly then the beer can taste really bad due to bacteria growing in it.
Step 2.
Open the can of malt pour it into the fermenter, add the brewing sugar and boiling water, fill up with cold water. Add the yeast and seal the fermenter.
Note, with some home brew kits other than Coopers you will need to briefly boil the mixture. If you are using this method be sure to sterilize the pot.
Step 3.
Leave the mixture to brew for 4 – 7 days until ready.
Step 4.
Time to bottle your beer, add the carbonation drops and then fill the bottles. Note: Ensure that the bottles and caps are properly sterilized.
Step 5.
Allow beer to work through the second fermentation process in the bottle for 14 days.
Step 6.
Drink and enjoy!!
Brew Kits are that simple, you will be drinking and sharing your own home brewed beer in no time. Get ready for Christmas and plan on brewing your own beer for the festive occassions.
